What does a private chef cost in Toronto?
For an in-home multi-course dinner, expect $200–$250 per guest. At Table Group, the rate is $250 per guest for two guests and $200 per guest for parties of 3–6 — with no minimum spend beyond that. The price covers the full evening: menu planning, grocery shopping, cooking in your kitchen, plated service, and full cleanup before we leave.
How does the evening work?
A typical private chef evening runs about 3 hours:
- Arrival & setup — the chef arrives with groceries and sets up your kitchen.
- Cooking — courses are cooked fresh, in front of you if you like.
- Service — each course is plated and served at your table.
- Cleanup — the kitchen is left spotless. You never touch a dish.
What will we eat?
Most Toronto private chefs offer a set tasting menu or a choice of courses. Our Imperial Menu is a 3-course Persian fine-dining experience: guests choose one appetizer, one main and one dessert — from smoked eggplant and velvet mozzarella to saffron beef tenderloin and saffron elixir pudding. Dietary needs and mild-spice preferences are always accommodated.
What occasions work best?
Birthdays, anniversaries and proposals are the classics — a surprise dinner at home, planned in secret, is one of our most-booked experiences. Holiday evenings (Yalda Night, Christmas, New Year's Eve) are also popular; booking 30+ days ahead earns 20% off.
How far ahead should you book?
Two to four weeks is comfortable for most dates. December dates go first — if you want a holiday evening, reserve early.
